About

Dala Sarkis is a historian and writer with a deep focus on the cultural and political histories of the Chaldean, Kurdish, and Assyrian peoples. She is a graduate of History from King’s College London, where her academic work centered on minority identities, historical continuity, and the preservation of indigenous narratives of the Middle East.

At 32 years old, Dala combines rigorous academic research with accessible, thoughtful writing, aiming to bridge scholarly insight and lived experience. Her work is driven by a commitment to documenting underrepresented histories and amplifying voices often excluded from mainstream historical discourse.

Currently residing in Nottingham, United Kingdom, she continues to write, research, and contribute to projects that explore heritage, memory, and identity across diasporic communities.

As an ethnic Chaldean, Dala’s contributions focus on the Chaldean experience and heritage. Although this platform is primarily Kurdish-centered, we celebrate the deep-rooted brotherhood between Kurds and Chaldeans. Dala and all members of the Chaldean community are warmly welcomed to share their voices and stories here.
