Kurdish History

Editorial and corrections policy

Kurdish History is maintained by the Kurdish History Editorial Team. We publish historical explainers, cultural features and source-linked news. Articles identify their contributors, and the Editorial Team oversees our sourcing and corrections process.

Evidence and attribution

We aim to support factual claims with reliable sources, favouring primary documents, scholarly research and original reporting. We distinguish an official announcement from independently established facts and identify uncertainty, contested interpretations and limits in the record. Older archive articles are being reviewed and may not yet meet this standard.

News and sensitive claims

Claims about violence, casualties, arrests, perpetrators and territorial control require independent corroboration. Copies and translations of one original report do not count as separate confirmation. We avoid publishing sensitive live locations and operational details. The live map retains source history and corrections.

Opinion and review

Commentary is labelled Opinion. Historical analysis should explain its evidence rather than assign collective blame to present-day communities. Material awaiting source review may be excluded from search indexing or withdrawn while it is checked.

Corrections

Send a correction with the article URL, the disputed passage and supporting evidence to info@kurdish-history.com or use our contact form. We review material errors, update affected text and mark substantial corrections with a date and explanation. We preserve original publication dates and keep private recovery copies of withdrawn material.

Images, authorship and support

We credit licensed or public-domain images where used. Editorial illustrations and the site sharing card are not documentary photographs. Support through our donation page helps maintain the archive; it does not purchase editorial conclusions.
